Qualification for Application
【Non-Japanese applicants must meet the following criteria】
- Complete at least 12 years of education outside of Japan or its equivalent in a Japanese Education Ministry approved school by March 2007
- Reach the age of 18 and have the educational standard of high school graduate or its equivalent by March 2007
- Enter Japan under the “Foreign Student Status” as recognized by Japanese Immigration Control and Refugee Recognition Act by the date of Admission
-Note of Caution-
- Classes are conducted in Japanese, therefore a level of Japanese language proficiency that allows you to comprehend the lectures is required. While it is not required, a level 2 on the Japan Educational Exchanges and Services' Japanese Language Proficiency Test.
- Qualification for application will be determined after the screening of all submitted documents. If the University determines that the applicant is not qualified for application, all documents will be returned to the sender.

Documents to be submitted by Applicants
- Application and all documentation must be received by the Chiba Institute of Science prior to the deadline of the examination you wish to take by mail.
(For applicants within China, Taiwan, Korea, Thailand and Sri Lanka please contact our branch offices within your country.)
- Applicants will not be eligible to take examination unless all required documents are received by deadline for the examination they wish to take.
- Any false statements on application form or false forms submitted will result in the disqualification weather or not applicant enrolled.

- Upon payment of Entrance Examination Fee applicants will receive a receipt and Examination Card
- Unsuccessful candidates will not have Entrance Examination Fee returned

Enrollment Procedures
- Enrollment and Registration forms will be sent to successful candidates
- If forms are not submitted by date specified, an applicant’s acceptance may be revoked
- Successful overseas candidates will be asked to deposit fees after a Foreign Students Certificate of Eligibility has been issued

- Procedures for transferring funds and account information will be sent to successful candidates along with enrolment instruction.
Transaction fees required for depositing academic fees are to be born by applicant
- Candidates unable to obtain Foreign Student Status as recognized by Japanese Immigration Control and Refugee Recognition Act by the date of Commencement may have their acceptance status revoked.
- Once entrance fee is deposited they will not be returned to candidates

Accommodation
- Students from KAKE partner institutions are to spend their first year in university designated foreign student housing. From their second year students are expected to secure housing on their own.
- Students not from KAKE partner institutions are expected as a condition of acceptance to stay in university
